Cheryl Bastian

Cheryl Bastian has been immersed in education modalities for almost forty years, her most exhilarating being the home education of her eight children which began in 1993. Cheryl and her husband Mike, a public middle school educator of thirty-six years, have graduated six children who have pursued undergraduate or graduate studies and one playing collegiate athletics. They continue to nurture life-long learning in their youngest learners and four grandchildren. Cheryl’s personal experience as a wife, mother, home educator, homeschool group founder and leader, as well as her passion for education and family life, provides guidance and encouragement to journey alongside families at many stages of parenting and learning. As a magazine columnist, curriculum developer, educational consultant, author, and speaker, Cheryl shares from the trials and triumphs of her experiences, encouraging parents to be intentional, real, and relational in their endeavors to raise life-long learners.
